Hello! We’re Beyond Shakespeare and we produce pre-modern drama, any play written prior to the closing of the theatres in 1642 (with 38 exceptions, as Shakespeare has been done perfectly adequately by… well, everyone).

We’re a small company, developing live shows to record full cast audio productions for our podcast – recording radio style productions before a live audience. And we’re looking for new actors to join our projects from this autumn and into 2026.

At time of posting we are still open for actors interested in joining our loose ensemble for live and studio audio recording work. Excellent sight reading required for mostly script in hand work. 

We generally rehearse/record in Waterloo, London, with live show occuring… where they occur.

We may not be in touch immediately, as we’re no longer taking applicants for our next season of work, but future opportunities are available and we will keep you on file and be in touch as soon as we can.
