Time’s Complaint (The Christmas Prince) – The Christmas Prince is the title of a collection of entertainments produced at St John’s College, Oxford, during the Christmas Revels of 1607 into 1608. Preist the Barber (Short Entertainment) – this is a strange comedy sketch, which is fairly difficult to get into due to the effects of time, but it’s reckonisable as the kind of simple comedy you might get in a student revue. We’ve dug into some of the jokes in our !Spoilers! episode, and produced a full cast audio adaptation below – in fact, there are two edits below; a simple cut, and one with an obviously rubbish 1970’s style laughter track. No Wit, No Help Like A Woman’s by Thomas Middleton
Thomas of Woodstock by the Unknown – Richard the Second tests the limits of his power, pushing against his protector and uncle, Thomas of Woodstock. Features an excellent scene with a horse. We’ve done a host of work on this play, and a full cast audio adaptation is in the works.
